P5C practically replicated the Ancient Egyptian mummification process by mummifying a tomato!

P5C practically replicated the Ancient Egyptian mummification process by mummifying a tomato! The children really enjoyed cutting, scooping, scraping, drying, stuffing and filling their tomatoes and the glass jars. The glass jars were turned into Ancient Egyptian coffins and decorated with a death mask and hieroglyphics. The decorations were really impressive.

An enjoyable lesson linked with History, Science and Art! We will open these at the end of April to see if the tomatoes have been preserved.
